Georeferences were produced based on the data downloaded from ORNIS between Oct 2007 and Nov 2009. During this period, locality information in the original records may have changed from what was downloaded. Georeferences for localities where changes didn't affect the meaning of the locality description (typographical corrections, rearrangement of the description) are still valid. A georeference for a locality that has been changed in ways that would result in a different actual place are no longer valid. For recommendations on how to determine if georeferences are still valid for occurrence records and how to integrate valid georeferences into your working database, refer to the Repatriation Process section.
